Recently, a successful project kickoff meeting for the Kingdee Cloud Galaxy initiative was held between Kingdee Software (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Kingdee”) and Sony Precision Devices (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sony Precision”). Leveraging the new-generation EBC (Enterprise Business Capability) version of Kingdee Cloud Galaxy designed for growing enterprises, both parties will embark on a deep collaboration on the digital transformation journey, aiding Sony Precision in reconstructing its digital system platform. This will fulfill integrated applications encompassing research, production, supply, sales, as well as business, finance, and taxation, injecting robust momentum into the company’s future digital development.

Sony Precision, the first wholly-owned enterprise invested by Sony Corporation in South China, was established in 1995 and has been a core production base for Sony Group’s optical pickup heads. Its main products include precision electronic components such as mobiles phoness, digital cameras, optical pickup heads, and LCD screens.

During the kickoff meeting, Sony Precision’s IT department elaborated on the project’s objectives and implementation strategies. The project aims to replace the existing system, reconstruct the ERP platform, and establish a comprehensive solution covering research, production, supply, and sales. By refining cost accounting, integrating business and finance, and building a financial reimbursement system platform, Sony Precision will complete the migration of financial data from the old system. Furthermore, Sony Precision will further standardize business processes, unify data standards, enhance planning capabilities and cross-departmental collaboration efficiency, thereby bolstering the enterprise’s intelligent decision-making capabilities.

Chen Rong, Deputy General Manager of the Product Research and Development Center of Kingdee China’s Medium-sized Enterprise Business Division, expressed sincere gratitude for Sony Precision’s trust and choice. She noted that Kingdee will go all out to aid Sony Precision in realizing the digital transformation of its business processes and elevating its operational efficiency and market competitiveness. Given Sony Precision’s leading position in the global optical components market, Kingdee anticipates empowering Sony Precision through the digital platform to further expand and deepen its global business presence. Both teams will collaborate closely to ensure the deep integration of business processes and efficient data flow.

Yan Quanqian, Assistant President of Kingdee China and General Manager of the Shenzhen Branch, also holds high expectations for this collaboration. He emphasized that the project not only involves core areas such as finance, supply chain, and production but also represents a profound reengineering of business processes and management upgrades. Through the introduction of the Kingdee Cloud Galaxy flagship version, Sony Precision will achieve comprehensive data transparency, process automation, and intelligent decision-making, significantly enhancing overall operational efficiency and market responsiveness. Kingdee will uphold its professional service spirit, continue innovating, ensure robust project risk management, and realize mutually beneficial development for both parties.

Katsuhiko Kobayashi, Managing Director of Sony Precision, delivered an important speech at the meeting. He emphasized the significance of the project in enhancing corporate efficiency and profitability, noting the tight timeline and challenging tasks. He required the business departments, as the primary participants, evalsuators, and committers of the project plan, to clearly articulate their needs to ensure precise development by the IT department. Simultaneously, he urged team members to shift their mindsets, actively engage in system reconstruction, maintain close communication with the Kingdee team, focus on critical timelines, and ensure the project’s successful completion.
